An important notice
Following the resignation of Rev’d Jean Boulton-Reynolds after six years of ministry at Holy Trinity Barnes and in the Team Ministry, we wish to announce an exciting new venture at Holy Trinity.
Extensive discussions have been taking place over past months involving Ven Stephen Roberts, Archdeacon of Wandsworth and with the full knowledge of the Bishop of Kingston. This has focussed on the possibility of a church plant from another church in this deanery, Holy Trinity Richmond. Under this arrangement, a group of members of that church under the leadership of their Associate Vicar, Rev’d David Cooke would commit to becoming part of the worshipping community in Holy Trinity Barnes. The HTB’s PCC is in full agreement with this and have invited Rev’d David Cooke to come under this arrangement as their new Team Vicar. The Team Council of our Team Ministry has also approved this venture which we all believe gives the church the very best opportunity to grow and thrive as a Christian community serving the local parish.
Holy Trinity will remain a part of the Barnes Team Ministry and Rev’d David Cooke will leave his parish in Richmond and become part of the staff of this Team.
St. Paul’s Cathedral (as patrons) have been informed of these developments and a Special Board of Patronage will be called shortly to approve the appointment of a new Team Vicar.
We are very pleased that this new initiative offers Holy Trinity the best chance to grow in faith and in numbers in order to serve God in Christian mission.
